Finger Print Sensor Not Responding Try Again Samsung S9 Plus

    I have got my S9+ for a week at present and over the past iii days I am having an issue with the fingerprint scanner. When unlocking the device I go a bulletin saying "The fingerprint scanner is not responding. Try again later."
    When I become into setting and become to fingerprint settings I a message proverb "An mistake has occurred with the fingerprint sensor. If this bulletin appears repeatedly, restart your device."
    This has happened many times ove the past 3 days. On other forums I come across people are restoring phone to mill settings and so on. Is there any other quick fix without losing data?

    The above is exactly the result that i am facing too... i restart my device and then information technology works...

    There are some ways to test and meet if in that location is any apps causing the sensor to stop working.

    -Go to Samsung members apps
    -Select Diagnostics
    -Exam Hardware
    -Select Fingerprints
    -Examination information technology (While y'all are facing the issue)

    If the result precedes so you take to visit the nearest customer service eye.

    Same fashion some electronics all of a sudden work so don't and then work again. Just return it.

    Since its working after restart it must be a software issue.. hope Samsung fixes it asap.

    its non only most returning... its about the trust we put in samsung.... When such bug come up , we tend to loose the trust...

    After I got the aforementioned issue, I read from another forum about the same issue with S8. With S8, the problem was with fingerprint gestures. I turned mine off and like that forum said, my problem was fixed instantly.
    Samsung members diagnostics didnt do anything - told to put my finger on the sensor, which obviusly didnt do anything as the sensor wasnt working. I submitted a ticket to Samsung tho.

    Same problem here. Happened twice with my 3 days old device. Volition take information technology to Samsung tomorrow ! Not serenity happy about information technology.

    Took it to Samsung and they said they are aware of the situation and its a software result that will be stock-still in a week'south time with a software update.

    I just got an e-postal service from Samsung stating the aforementioned: Samsung is aware that the fingerprint sensor isnt working as intended, just this is a software error and they hope to get it fixed with next software update. To fix the electric current error, they advise on turning the fingerprinting gestures off and restart the phone.
    So far, afterwards turning off FP gestures, information technology has been working fine for me. I dont agree any grude against Samsung for this - **** happens...

    I've go the aforementioned issue. Just had a chat with someone from Samsung using the live chat feature in Members app. She called me on my phone and collected my reg no and IMEI no and said they volition deal with it.

    I've as well been having this issue s9± with gestures enabled. Samsung support said render the telephone but I remember it may be software related. Will wait for a software update before I render it. "Fingerprint sensor is not responding effort again later"

    Seems fixed for me now after latest update.. using gesture'due south likewise. No bug for 2 days now (since updating)

    Guys this is crazy just the sensor actually doesn't piece of work because your finger might be cold. Rub your finger on or pants for friction and so information technology volition piece of work.
